[SPOILERS] The Final Scene
We need to know that Bruce ended up on top. A happy ending is the best thing for that. Nolan wouldnt include an ending being a dream if he just made Inception.danlowrie wrote:wouldnt theryan4butler wrote: It NEEDS to end Bruce's story, this ending would not.tie up Bruce's story? Folks, I'm all for interpreting films with different, quirky theories.
It's fun, even if the film doesn't support the theories.
But. . . .
The Dark Knight Rises is NOT Inception.
There is NOTHING in the final scenes even closely resembling the ever-spinning top to suggest any ambiguity.
Alfred doesn't see Bruce, look, back and not see him....
Alfred isn't dreaming, isn't hallucinating....
He's drinking Fernet-Branca, not injecting Meth.

Your last theory...I imagine Nolan actually thinking it while writing and telling his brother "Baawww!!!!Bawwww!!!Bawwww!!".
Ok maybe using the term 'dreaming' on this forum wasnt the best idea. I meant to imply that if he wasnt thinking about his fantasy then you would think that Alfred would have had more of a

Alfred wasn't in hell with a lot of pain in a prison with no hope waiting to die.Caekzor wrote:
