Im convinced that Bale will bring something new to the batman character in this film, basicly because I think the script will and Bale is a brilliant actor.
I completely agree. I get so pissed when people assume that just because we can't have the joker in the next film that its not going to be good, which is stupid. I love the joker, but there is so much room in the films to explore other characters and bruce wayne's/batman's is so complex. And Bale is an incredible actor and is clearly the best bruce wayne. I might have like micheal keaton better when i was 12, but anyone who has any intellect should be able to observe how much better christian bale is.

ohheeheeahhah wrote:By the way this is my first post on these boards... I'm new. .. First of all are we talking about the box office or the actual movies? Seeing as though the marketing campaign for TDKR is already months ahead of spiderman's and its a sequel instead of a reboot of a franchise that already made billions of dollars just half a decade ago, it's definitely looking up for TDKR. Even history can tell us Nolan attracts and pleases all variates of film goers from people like me who only go see a movie if it's once in a blue moon timeless cinema to mainstream movie goers to his own cult of fans. As far as which film will be better I don't like comparing Nolan's Batman films to other comic book adaptions simply because they're not just "comic book adaptions"; they are compelling dramas with very deep scripts, but I'll go ahead and do it anyways cause i'm a bored. There are many pointers TDKR has that spiderman doesn't. It has an incredible plot set up already from the events in The Dark Knight, Nolan has nearly absolute liberty with this film and WB will write him a check for anything he needs, and besides the point that it has a great cast of lined up Nolan has worked with every major actor or actress in the film at least once(except Anne Hathaway)....
<<Here for a second I want to take a quick break from what I was writing above and actually defend Chris Nolan on casting 4 actors that he worked with on inception to TDKR as well. What he's doing really is genius in my opinion because although  , Tom Hardy, and Marion Cotillard(I think that's how you spell it), have not appeard in the Batman trilogy thus far, he has worked with them, and adding on to the fact that he still has morgan freeman, micheal caine, , and , it will be much more like finishing a trilogy with actors he's already worked with than casting new ones. And this makes A LOT of sense in my perspective.>>
So he knows the studio, he knows the actors, he knows the crew, and he knows how to write and direct a damm good movie, i think TDKR has got a lot more going for it.
Welcome aboard! :)
I hope that you're right...At this point, all that we can say is :innolanwetrust:
Thank you! I don't understand the concern for this film. The reasons bad movies are made are because they're made for money , the studio gives the director no room for their vision which i guess is tied in with money too, or because of people like micheal bay can't acknowledge they have absolutely no ability to write a coherent script. None of those are the case because for one Nolan was not under any contract to make the movie, WB hardly ever extends their arms to any of Nolan's films he pretty much does what he wants, and him and his brother are on a different level then mostly every active filmaker out there. The evidence clearly points that it will be an incredible movie haha, i don't know why everyone is so worried.

+1

With TDKR being the "end of Bruce Wayne's journey", I think we're in for a treat from Nolan and Bale.

I'm hoping they calm down on his Batman voice in this one. It was a bit too much in The Dark Knight.

They should stop messing with it post-production. Just use the BB voice.
