Ah, yeah, the Devin Faraci rumors. Let's take a look at 'em while we're at it.
So it’s all done, right? Maybe, maybe not. I’ve now heard from three different sources that there is another character in The Dark Knight Rises, one who ties the whole thing together. Could that be Hugo Strange, who everybody has been crazy about? Could it be Talia Al’Ghul, who was rumored earlier? Or could it just be The Scarecrow, making his third appearance in the Nolan films?
As she herself confirmed, Anne Hathaway will be Catwoman in the movie. I can’t tell you what role she has in the beginning, but by the end of the story Catwoman isn’t a villain but rather an ally of Batman. And who are they teaming up to take out?
The League of Shadows.
Headed by Talia Al’Ghul. With Bane, who is her muscle/possible love interest. And with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in tow. Is he playing Black Mask? My source didn’t know, but did know that Levitt is certainly an antagonist and involved with the League of Shadows.
I suspect that Miranda Tate will be revealed as Talia Al Ghul, much as Ducard was revealed as Ra’s Al Ghul. Blake, on the other hand… my sources told me he would be someone sowing chaos in Gotham at the start of the film. Is my source wrong or is the description presented misleading?
Expect a bunch of the League of Shadows. My sources – who have been pretty good so far – tell me that they’re casting Ra’s Al Ghul’s wife right now. We may get a serious look back at the life of Ra’s.
So a bunch of months ago I ran a story that said Talia Al’Ghul and the League of Shadows would be the baddies in The Dark Knight Rises. But there was another part of that scoop which I sat on because it was just too tenuous and possibly too spoilery to reveal:
SPOILERS
Liam Neeson would be returning as Ra’s Al Ghul.
What’s interesting is that when my source told me this even Liam Neeson didn’t know. Nobody had approached him yet. One of the ideas was to wait and shoot Neeson during reshoots, to hide him in there.
It seemed like the Pence/Neeson Ra's stuff in the press was an authorized leak anyway...though the Pence flashback role in The Hollywood Reporter carried more detail than the Neeson information. Not a big wonder filmfan confirmed both rumors (the Pence one, belatedly before India).
OTOH, sometimes you just may get burned by alleged inside sources...

Faraci should know that Nolan doesn't do "reshoots"...

well this could be Thomas Wayne or Ra's Al Ghul...either one would definitely be the character to tie everything up
as far JGL goes.
that kid on FB seems to be completely sure of his source (he says somebody he met on set thats part of the production crew) and that JGL is actually playing Black Mask and that they filmed a chase scene with him and Cat Woman on the roof top of Gotham General.
i think filmfanatic cant confirm anything for us anymore because we're getting too close to the fire, no pun intended
