We all know Nolan loves and can deliver a hearty story plot but even if it's not like the comics I'd love for a human element to play a big factor in TDKR. Though generally it can come off as a bit tacky or underdeveloped (i.e Superman's kid in Returns :roll: )
Why did she have to give away her daughter? I didn't know this story...

It could be very interesting, but I don't really see that happening in TDKR because it would be too soon for Selina (and Bruce) to have a child yet, I think... ;)
