Agreed.

I'm under the impression that his nose and most of his lips/lower jaw r torn away.

Would have been cool if we got a quick glimpse of his face like we did with the Joker at the funeral parade scene. BUT I LIKE THE MYSTERY.

They can't be torn out actually, judging by how he actually says those lines. I mean try saying 'no' without your lips. There's a way of doing that with the use of your tongue but it doesn't sound like him.

I picture them more like the scars of the Mouth of Sauron



Just all healed up like Joker's (when without make up).

No idea about the nose and ears though.
