Also Robin Blake being called Robin as a hero is like me being called "Jonathan." It doesn't work. It's just your first name. :P

Sure. Lets ignore the symbol that is Batman along with the other things I said...
When Bruce said Batman was to be a symbol he was likely not talking literally. Blake could wear a different costume and be "Robin" with still carrying on the symbol Batman represented.

Batman:
''Anyone can be a hero, even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat over a kid’s shoulders and telling him everything is alright''
Rachel Dawes in BB:
"Bruce, deep down you may still be that great kid you used to be, but it's not who you are underneath, it's what you *do* that defines you. "
That Batman quote is used to a different effect since he's telling him who he is in a brief sentence. He's calling Gordon a hero as a police commissioner. That doesn't imply creating a new masked vigilante in the slightest form and in fact preaches the opposite. You don't have to be a masked vigilante to be a hero. The Rachel quote doesn't apply here either since it means nothing in this context. She's said that because in her eyes at the time Bruce was doing nothing but being a SOP playboy. You guys failed acknowledge what Bruce was telling Blake in the cop car "Batman could be anyone thats the point" or how and why Blake would change the bat suit to make it not be or look like Batman. Batman is all practical even the name since it scares people. What the hell is threatening about Robin? If its not practical then its a form of solipsism especially when its your first name.

Exactly. Masked as Batman, or Robin... or something else... it doesn't matter. Batman is a symbol.

I think he's gonna be Catman in the next film, Robin and Nightwing are too obvious.

A guy who's name is Robin, becomes the new hero, and the name of this alter ego is also 'Robin'? Come on fellas. Nightwing or Batman maybe. but not Robin. He would've been captured and beheaded the second he got to the other side of the cave's waterfall on his first night out. He wouldv'e been so excited to take the Tumbler out for a spin and use his gadgets too. Poor 'Robin'. He had a good run. Next

I'd vote if the title of the poll was "Do you like that Blake's name is Robin but the implication is that he takes up the mantle as Batman, because his alter ego wouldn't be his legal name and even though his character contains elements of all three Robins that doesn't mean he becomes any of the Robins from the comics?"
