He has a good point, it was very MTV-ish. I wish they did that kind of skit on the stage...but whatever. It was funny.

Yeah it felt so much like those MTV movie awards intros.

I guess they were trying really hard to make it appealing to a younger audience. The Academy is like that 47-year-old who goes to clubs trying to pick up a hot young thing but still clings on to their old beliefs.

Nice podcast. You have a very solid point on the awards show. It was way too MTV looking, it needed more oomph and better jokes. They should have replaced Franco with Jackman.
