Following yesterday's news of three new cast members is yet another addition to Christopher Nolan's Interstellar: John Lithgow. The Wrap is reporting that Lithgow, recent Emmy and a Golden Globe winner from Dexter, has recently signed on to the project. The character actor is often recognized for his comedic roles, last year starring in This Is 40 and The Campaign, but lately has been getting praised for his dramatic ones. He can next be seen in Tommy Lee Jones' The Homesman.

Lithgow is a two time Academy Award nominee for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, and has won five Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, as well as an American Comedy Award. Lithgow forms out what appears to be Nolan's most American cast yet, joining Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, Mackenzie Foy, and Timothee Chalamet. The real exception being Nolan's good-luck charm: Michael Caine.

Interstellar is set to go into production next month in Canada, and will journey into theaters and IMAX on November 7, 2014.
