After seeing Inception I fear my idea would be too similar to Nolans version. He took everything from me! Inception?

I don't see what the big deal is with you being worried about similarities with Inception. You should just make your movie. My first short film dealt with a dream that had a physical connection to the real world through a telephone call. There is also a really great short film from 1943 called Meshes of the Afternoon that deals with the perceptions of a dream. Jacob's Ladder is a movie that is sort of one long dream that the character has before he dies.

Plenty of dream movies out there, no need to worry about movies being too similar as long as you bring your original touch to it.
