Anybody here already shot a movie on 35 mm? I'm curious about this, I definitely want to shoot on film at some point, but the costs seem completely delirious, digital is much more convenient but I'd like to try later.

God damn it, had to cut down my script from 30 pages to 19 to make it more doable, and producers are still busting my balls because it's supposedly too expensive to make (with this one girl telling me that right now, it's a full length feature budget that's needed, what?). One day, they tell me financing can come from anywhere, and then now that the 5000 bucks given by the region are not enough (which I agree on, cost of the equipment alone), they keep singing a different tune every time.

Therefore, I need to come in to make maybe more changes to make it doable. My script is sort of a coming of age story, with this one individual's "journey" as he learns to cope with the consequences of what he's done, but it's strictly character driven, dialogue driven, no action, nothing, 6 to 7 locations, about 15 - 16 minutes in my head as of now, a big twist at the end.

I don't get it.

If you want a second opinion on your script and costs, I'd love to give one to you. Perhaps I can find out where the expensivest costs are and advise you on how to cut it?

I'd quite like that please, I think they didnt read the very last draft I sent them, because I drastically cut it from the time before.

There are a few details that need to be known though and I'll tell you about it.

My most anticipated film confirmed, right up there with Colours.
I hope nothing will happen to Louisa Harris.
