Hi, I'm currently re-writing a script for a thriller movie, it's quite long now that I'm editing it . I and my friends are probably start shooting by the end of June because of exams we have right now. I'll be probably using some soundtracks by Hans Zimmer, so my question is: if this movie is only a friends thing (I won't sell it, register it or make any money from it), is it legal to use those soundtracks or not? I've seen enough people using soundtracks from movies without any problems as long as there's no revenue from their work, but I'm just asking to be on the safe side.

Second question: should I send an e-mail to Romote Productions (Hans Zimmer's studios) to ask for permission, just out of politeness?
