Hans Zimmer was awarded with Best Composer of the Year for Man of Steel's soundtrack, and received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

He was not only able to attend and receive the award himself, but also perform a medley of his work with the London Chamber Orchestra.

The medley's line-up consisted of:
  • The Dark Knight Rises
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
  • The Lion King
  • Sherlock Holmes
  • Gladiator
  • Man of Steel
  • 'Time' from Inception
The piano sections for the last two pieces were played by the maestro himself.

Sir Michael Caine was then given the honour to present the award to him, with a short speech from both Sir Caine and Hans Zimmer.

Excuse the poor recording quality of the humble iPhone, and the cheering near the end when Sir Michael Caine came on stage (I couldn't resist).

I'll upload some scans of the event booklet later on.

EDIT: Here are the pages from the event booklet that's relevant to Hans Zimmer.
EDIT 2: I hear ITV 2 in the UK will be replaying the awards on Sunday 6th October at 10:30PM BST. Perhaps the event organiser or sponsors will upload some video too. Till then, I hope you enjoy this :)
