They just look dim because you've seen the super-saturated, mega-baked images. The Blu-ray version is better, in my opinion.

They were dim in IMAX too lol, it's the way it was lit.

You should calibrate your monitor/tv, set the color temperature to 6500 K.

I just ordered a blue-ray player and Inception.i really needed a blue-ray now,because i have a HD-TV and everyone says Blue-Ray
players bring beautiful pictures on the TV and that ya never watch DVD again if ya see the quality of Blue-Ray.So okay i will see 8-)

I havent bought a DVD in 2 years, so yes you'll probably never watch a DVD again lol

I've already pre ordered the limited edition, I don't want to buy another one just so I get it earlier... but I'm getting so damn excited now.

The trailer had a different color timing process than the theatrical release (and blu-ray/dvd). The mountain scenes in particular are noticeably bluer in the trailer.

Same was the case from TDK IMAX preview and the final film. Totally different color timing in some spots, mainly the Joker Batman confrontation after the chase.
