I found an interesting link.

This line taken literally actually makes a lot of sense.

" tom's words are quite literal, referring to how they can dream up whatever weapon they want - hence, 'dream bigger' and get a bigger weapon. like a grenade launcher."

I really hope the blogger is wrong about Ellen dying. Can't female characters ever have a happy ending Chris?

*sigh* I remembered reading that. I'm hoping for a twist to that or something, because using female characters as canon fodder is not a good habit to get into
