A Ridley Scott Batman film would be fascinating, especially given his shooting style. It would probably basically be Batman Begins but way, way more wide shots haha.

Do you like Joon-ho Bong?

.....as long as a nolan is involved, whether it be producing or writing.
I remember chris nolan getting a lot of stick for directing an american superheroe movie......it would seem inevitable on chan-woo too.

I've only seen The Host, which was a blast, but I'm really anticipating seeing Mother, yeah I like him quite a bit.

I'd like to see Aronofsky take a stab at it. Regardless, I hope it isn't made anytime soon. It's going to be weird to see a non-Nolan Batman flick.

You can the franchise in many different directions:

Cybergoth Batman in the same fashion of Paul Pope's Heavy Liquid and James O'Barr's The Crow (Gotham City modeled after New York City, Seóul and Tokyo)

All-out ruthless sociopath Batman (Frank Miller's DKR)

Ultra Realistic Batman with surreal undertones (Aronofsky-style)

Pulpy, retro, neo-noir Batman (Sin City, Dark City)

Creepy psychedelic Grant Morrison Batman (Arkham Asylum SHOSE)

Neil Gaiman Batman (WHTTCC)

Self-Searching Road trip Batman (Easy Rider

Alan Moore Batman (The Killing Joke)

More investigative Batman (Think Se7en, Silence of the Lambs)

Korean Revenge flick Batman (Oldboy, I Saw the Devil, Memories of Murder)

German Expressionist Batman (Batman Returns).....scratch that

Jim Jarmusch Batman (Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai)

Pop Cultury Batman (Joss Whedon)

David Cronenberg Batman (Videodrome)

Indie Batman (John Cassavetes, Sex, Lies, Videotape)

Roman Polanski Batman.........never mind, don't want any controversy here

Not really focused on Batman but still titled Batman Batman (Brian Azzarello)

Who Knows, maybe you could blend most of the above in to one movie.
