I suspect February will be the month for news.

It's just frustrating waiting, lol. No other movies really interest me anymore.

As far as mainstream stuff goes I’m excited for JOKER with Joaquin Phoenix because of his talent and skill as an actor, Villanueve’s DUNE too. Other than that mainly indies. The whole cgi patina these days makes me zone out. Can’t really stand it.

Joker seems promising. I've been a huge Batman nut since the 80's, so I have excitement for any related DC characters, but I don't have much to say about Todd Phillips. Not a big fan of his work.

Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is probably the film I'm most excited for.

Villenueve's DUNE has amazing potential, but I remain cautiously optimistic. I love that guy's work - I love Sicario and Prisoners and Arrival and Blade Runner 2049... but Dune seems like an impossible, daunting project. But I hope for the best.

Other than that, I do hope Disney and J.J. Abrams can knock it out of the park with Star Wars Episode IX. I want to be excited. I was a huge Star Wars kid growing up, but I don't really care for Disney at all. I'm pretty frustrated with the direction they've taken the saga.

Trust me guys, we're not ready, the more we wait, the more it's better. Nolan always change his perspectives, both narratively and technically, his two last movies were an evidence of that, so it's totally normal that we're waiting, he's preparing a godamn new story, and probably with a lot of new things in relation to his work, new challenges.

It's exciting to imagine how Nolan could be coming up with new technical challenges, and what the hell they could possibly be. What's left for him to do at this point? Haha.

He's changed the game with zero gravity stuff (Inception, Interstellar), as well as aerial stuff (Dunkirk).

I'd be intetested in him tackling natural disasters, something with nature and the elements. Crazy wind sequence, people flying around from a tornado, etc. (lol)

He better be.

I just want to know that a movie project exists, it's coming in 2020, it's in early pre-production, and the script is done. That's all I need. I don't even need a title or the cast.

My big fear is that nothing is going on, nothing is being developed, and we have a ten year gap before the next film. That would crush me.
You're actually worried that Nolan isn't working on anything and that he might not make a film for a decade?

His last 4 films were announced in January or February the year before they came out, I don't think it's strange at all that no one knows what the most secretive director in Hollywood is doing next

He's probably already in pre-production, meeting with actors etc. DiCaprio was announced as the lead for Inception about two weeks after the press release announcing the title and release date.

They were filming that within 4 months of the public becoming aware it even existed. Before that absolutely no one had a clue about what was going on.

There will definitely be something happening behind the scenes
This is key. We're close, very close.
