It's also sounds a little bit weird to me, especially as it's apparently not written by him
Memento is based on a short story of his brother.
Prestige is adapted from a book
Interstellar was also a script he rewrote.
Why are you sure is next film is written exclusively by him or its an original idea of his own?
Nolan still wrote the screenplay for all of those movies.
And why can't he rewrite that one too?

He meant that the script for this project seems like it's fully written already. And Nolan didn't rewrite a film script for those films you mentioned. For Interstellar he only used bits and pieces from Jonah's original script.

He haven't taken a script written by someone else and made it into a film since Insomnia. Sure he could still do it now and possibly rewrite it into something else, but with the creative control he has, I don't see why he would do that now, and especially not with a script like this.

If the rumor turns out to be true, maybe he'll rewrite/is rewriting the script.

Still, as much as I want his next film to be female lead, I hope he goes for another big budget, high concept original film. This feels too grounded, too small.
I have been wanting to see a smaller scale Nolan movie since The Prestige. This porno girl takes down the mafia story seems pretty wild and would be shocking to see Nolan do the project.

Agree with redfirebird about wanting to see a smaller scale film from Nolan so I’m quietly excited about this rumor and the WTF reactions this news would bring.

The porn star biopic just seems such a random story to make up.
Usually when there is fake news about possible Nolan films its relating to some franchise like Akira, Bond or returning to DC films..

When Jeff Sneider tweeted to Tapley It did make me wonder maybe there is something to this story.

Did a twitter search and found some random Twitter profile that tweets like they know some insider info but for all I know they could be someone who just read the posts from this site :?

I always took that as a joke from Sneider's part because of the ridiculous rumors.

Yes! It was definitely a joke/dig. If there was any truth to that blog-post, someone like Jeff Sneider wouldn't want to willingly draw too much attention to it. He would be as much secretive about breaking the story as Nolan would be about his project.

Looks like it was around a year after Interstellar's theatrical release that we started receiving news reports about the Dunkirk project. If we are lucky, that would mean only a few months until we start hearing some news on the next project. Hopefully awards season obligations have not caused a delay in his plans.
That was because he became busy with "Quay Brothers" project soon after. Nolan is coming to India in March-end for a film restoration lecture/event. I think it should be at least a few months after that we get a legit breaking story on his next project.

Damn, now I really want to see Nolan make a film about a group of scientists and explorers traveling to this star:

You guys think he'll make a film in a genre he's already done (science fiction, war, psychological thriller, etc) or try his hand at another like a western or horror (I could see him trying his hand at the latter sometime).

I personally think he’s returning to sci-fi
