Nolan could make porn that would be watchable even after.
I think Nolan is perfect for making...
Ha! Funny you said that, cause not long ago, I saw a spot in a erotic channel of a "film" called The Inception of Desire, where a couple had sex in a shared dream, and in each exotic level, they were joined by projections. I guess during all those years Nolan worked on Inception, he must have thought about it at least once! :modesty:tykjen wrote:Nolan could make porn that would be watchable even after.
hahaha, Nolan's idea for Inception was contracepted after a wet dream ^dadosaboya wrote:Ha! I'm getting the impression that Nolan might "go big" every time now, seeing as TDKR is looking to be his biggest, most epic film yet. That's three in a row now with TDK, Inception, and now this. Oddly enough, he's only made one non-action film in the past 7 years. I sincerely hope he goes back to small films like Memento and Insomnia.
This is something I might've mentioned before, but I'd love to see Nolan do a remake of something that needs a remake, just like Batman needed a revitalization. I like the idea of him breathing new life into something that otherwise wouldn't be redone, or you wouldn't think it would be redone.
My dream project for him is a remake of the movie "Magic" from 1978, starring Anthony Hopkins.

It's about a ventriloquist and his dummy, and it's left ambiguous as to whether the dummy is really alive or not. It's a great little twisty movie, and it's got Nolan written all over it. It's also based on a novel by William Goldman... which Nolan could base the script around the novel as opposed to the 1978 film.
It's got the "magical" atmosphere of something like The Prestige, while also having this strange ambiguity like Memento and Inception. And, of course, the themes of duality/identity that show up in all of his work. It's right up Nolan's alley. The Prestige dealt with magicians, Magic deals with ventriloquism. And hell, Cillian Murphy or Christian Bale would completely own the lead role. :tooexcited:

The Prisoner
Apologies if this has been answered in another thread but did have a scout about on this forum.
Anyone any news on what happened to his Prisoner project? Last I heard he'd hired someone to script it and that
was before Inception (memory's hazy on this one). Surprised there isn't a thread for this or was it a media story?
Mind you, I guess it'd be shelved/put back after the Jim Caviezel version in 2009.
Anyway, I always felt that this is the sort of film that'd be perfect psychology wise for CN to do. Always been a
big fan on the Prisoner concept (apart from that original series ending, heh!).
Wondered what you guys think of this?

A RADIOHEAD FILM
I think Nolan is perfect for making original movies with original ideas, whatever the genre.
Crime Dramas and Psychological Thrillers.
Max Payne is 1 character which Nolan could have nailed, sad that it got ruined.
