Do I notice similarities? No. Do I want Nolan to adapt the series (starting with the original Metal Gear Solid)? YES! This could be the first GREAT movie based on a video game. However, he should really take his time on it. Finish Batman, and whatever he needs to, then work on it.
Nolan and Metal Gear Solid
my God another trilogy, this time about the greatest game ever, I hope Nolan hears ya.
nothing would make me happier, MGS1 is the game of my childhood, extraordinary.

Exually i dont want Nolan too do any excisting franchise anymore, but only original projects,so no remakes, sequels or prequels or book adaptions.
I know exactly what you mean dude, but believe me you would want to see Christopher Nolan's Metal Gear Solid,
or at least a movie about Big Boss, the very idea makes me:

Bumping this because I always wondered who would be perfect to direct an MGS film and the answer was staring me in the face.
But for now I'll settle for The Dark Knight Rises: Bat-eater.
Our raspy voiced hero returns with the latest technology, perhaps a little worse for wear.
The villain who looks directly ripped from an MGS game.
Here's the Shagohod.
The creepy psychological bad guy, a Psycho Mantis or The Sorrow equivalent.
The obligatory torture sequence.

Metal Gear Solid was the first thing that I thought of when the snow fortress level scene began playing. I wonder if Nolan ever played that game or got any inspiration from it for that scene.
I always thought about this: Chris Nolan adapted a Metal Gear Solid franchise along with Hideo Kojima as producer!!! :goNF:
I wish this forum had a reputation/karma system.jibran wrote:Bumping this because I always wondered who would be perfect to direct an MGS film and the answer was staring me in the face.

Great post, and Bane does look like he belongs in MGS.
I love Metal Gear Solid. Along with Legend of Zelda, there my favorite game series of all time. I honestly am against it becoming a movie for the most part, but if ANYONE can make it good, it would be Nolan. Hes the only director alive today that I would approve making an MGS movie.
People have said they've wanted Christian Bale to play Solid Snake, and Bale himself has stated that he is interested. Nolan has worked with Bale, Bale wants to do MGS, many people think Nolan is a great fit for MGS. Do anyone not see the connection?
