Perhaps I'm right after all...

Remember, spoilers for TDKR!
David emerges from the store slowly. He braces himself against a parked car and then keeps on walking in a nightmarish daze.

WE PULL BACK as David blends in with dozens and dozens of ordinary people, walking on an ordinary street, in an ordinary city.

Rumours^

However, IF there was a sequel/spin-off:
I'd imagine it following Blake in Gotham (Bruce never to return), working with Jim Gordon and then even the possibility of bringing Barbara Gordon aka batgirl into the mix, but a girl can only dream.
But on-topic... with JL in hindsight, I think only a standalone reboot of a Batman outside of Nolanverse would be best. An almost impossible task to follow the greatest origin film, Batman Begins. But there is hope if Nolan will be producing the reboot.

I think the key to success with a Batman reboot is to stay as far away from what Nolan created as possible. There's no point in just copying it.

My hope is that they go back to a more comicbook-ish approach, a la the "Arkham Asylum / City" videogames.

“If Superman [this summer’s Man of Steel] is huge, then they’ve bought themselves some time and will have a franchise to hang their hat on for seven, eight years. The need for Batman won’t be as great, and [the reboot] of that franchise can wait until the Superman trilogy is done,” claims BoF's source.

That means Batman's next solo movie might not hit screens until 2019.
Good.

The further they push it into non-existence, the better.
If she plays cranium she gives good brainium.
