https://thefilmstage.com/jennifer-lawre ... work-with/Now that Lynne Ramsay is crossed off your bucket list, is there another director you’d love to work with?
P.T. Anderson, Chris Nolan.
I wouldn't mind seeing Jennifer Lawrence in a Nolan film.

Second me for wanting to see Lawrence in a Nolan film. Part of me thinks if/when Nolan makes a film with a female lead, she would be a good choice...but I also think he would offer it to Anne Hathaway first.

If he did, I'd like him to go a similar route to what he did with JDW, get someone who's only become recently recognisable. Like I was thinking someone like Cailee Spaeny or someone in her situation. That over a very known and esteemed actress because it would be a more unique flavour.
But given how post Tenet he's been upping regular supporting actors to being the leads, it would make sense to do that with her.
As for Jennifer, she's done lots of lead roles, a supporting or co-lead role in one of his films would be more unique. Kinda like in American Hustle or Don't Look Up.

Tarantino ranked Dunkirk as the 4th best movie of the 21st century
1 BLACK HAWK DOWN
2 TOY STORY 3
3 LOST IN TRANSLATION
4 DUNKIRK
5 THERE WILL BE BLOOD
6 ZODIAC
7 UNSTOPPABLE
8 MAD MAX: FURY ROAD
9 SHAUN OF THE DEAD
10 MIDNIGHT IN PARIS
11. BATTLE ROYALE
12. BIG BAD WOLVES
13. JACKASS: THE MOVIE
14. SCHOOL OF ROCK
15. THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST
16. THE DEVILS REJECTS
17. CHOCOLATE
18. MONEYBALL
19. CABIN FEVER
20. WEST SIDE STORY
Full list:Another film that I didn’t initially like […] What I now love about it is that I feel there’s a real mastery to it, and I came around to it watching it again and again and again. The first time, it’s not like it left me cold — it was so kind of gobsmacking, I didn’t really know what I saw, it was almost too much, and then the second time I saw it, my brain was able to take it in a little bit more, and then the third time and the fourth time, it was just like, wow, it just blew me away.

I've never heard Taratino's thoughts on Oppenheimer? I doubt too good, doesn't seem like his type of movie. Speaking of Tarantino his little blurb on "There will Be Blood" is something....
‘There Will Be Blood’ would stand a good chance at being #1 or #2 if it didn’t have a big, giant flaw in it … and the flaw is Paul Dano. Obviously, it’s supposed to be a two-hander, but it’s also drastically obvious that it’s not a two-hander. [Dano] is weak sauce, man. He is the weak sister. Austin Butler would have been wonderful in that role. He’s just such a weak, weak, uninteresting guy. The weakest fcking actor in SAG [laughs].”

Yeah, saw that and I just think that’s… an opinion. But PTA cared about Paul as an actor for There Will Be Blood and to me that says enough even if Tarantino believes otherwise.radewart wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2025, 8:32 pmI've never heard Taratino's thoughts on Oppenheimer?
