Stanley Kubrick and Hitchcock wouldn't be able to work in today's film culture.

Imagine being triggered by Christopher Nolan for not letting chairs on an active set. Twitter is becoming just awful and not worth it with this onslaught of cancel culture.
Some of comments are unbelievable. It’s getting ridiculous.

Hathaway wasn’t even complaining about it, She was praising Nolan about it
People seem to think there no chairs anywhere. Yes there are chairs. When you are not working you go the break area.

I mean this chair thing, better not learn how paintings are made...
Also, this is how films with now money are made. I admire Nolan for being able to bring the energy of his Following set to his bigger films. This is one of his biggest accomplishements, and as explained by his actors, this is one of the reason why his films are able to be on such a big scale, yet feel so personal.

You know Anne Hathaway feels bad right now. I know how much she admires Nolan, I’m sure she’s frustrated how dumb this all is.

Yeah, it's worth remembering it was exactly the same with Tarantino and even Scorsese last year. It's nothing new. I'm guessing Fincher and his 30's movie starring Gary Oldman and an all-white cast is next.

Film Twitter is bad.

Worst controversy ever... I can't even wrap my head around it.

As in, why would anyone care how film shoots are done? Also, this was discussed by Nolan himself years ago in at least one interview, but he repeatedly mentioned how he doesn't like cell phones and chairs. As a guy who took part in some smaller film shoots (including my own "thesis film" at university) I just don't see how whatever Hathaway has mentioned can be interpreted in a bad way.

Wow! I never witness a ,,Nolan hate'' bigger than this one. His haters even take advantage of this situation to shit on his movies. This one hurts. It's a mater of time until YT videos start rolling.

I don't either. It wasn't like she was complaining about it or had bad experiences. She stated as that's just the way he is on set.
