I would love to see Nolan do an adaptation of 1984. He would be able to do a really good job with it!
I would also like to see him adapt a Cormac McCarthy novel.

The novel is right up Nolan's alley!

i would like to see a big budget remake of following, but then again the low budget did give it its charm so im hesitant. But Nolan could pull it off.

He would have been ideal to direct a Sherlock Holmes film.

The Bond producers are giving directors more latitude than they used to and even letting good ones in at times now (they blew off Spielberg's entreaties in the 1970s), but there's no way they'd EVER give up final cut, so I can't imagine Nolan wanting to play in a roped-off section of somebody else's sandbox.

Look at how they let the last director, Marc Forster, bring his whole creative team on, but then 'added' a second editor (from BOURNE, no less!) in post, which I have to think is why they took what might have been a pretty interesting movie (considering it was stuck with the imbecile Craig casting from CASINO) and made it a BOURNE-like ADD mess with only moments of greatness. Quantum of Solace is probably the only good Bond film since the Dalton era (amazing, given that this Bond is so damned ugly he looks like he lost an acid fight), but a non-sledgehammer approach to cutting (in action AND dialog scenes) would have benefitted the film enormously.

Inception looks like Nolan's Bond movie, but I would be interested if Warner Bros say bought MGM, and got the rights to the character, and have Nolan either work with Daniel Craig, Clive Owen, or maybe Tom Hardy.
