I don't hang out with him. He's some stupid hipster kid I knew in High School.

The truth is nothing pissed me off other than there are people accusing Nolan for ripping off Paprika, the science of sleep, or Last Year at Marienbad.

This is complete bullshit since Nolan haven never seen them yet.

"The Dark Knight Rises was a bad movie".

It wasn't his best but it's certainly not a BAD film

Yeah, I never could respect anyone who said this. If they didn't like it, fine. But to claim that it's an objectively bad film when it has an 8.6 IMDB rating and an 87% RT rating is just stupid and ignorant. I guess it's the same thing with any movie that's well received and popular. Wannabe dark, edgy teenagers will jump on any opportunity they get to trash a good movie that's popular.

Film criticism doesn't piss me off. It's just taste, and there's not accounting for it. Getting upset over opinion isn't really a good way of going about things, like taking things personally that you have no personal stake in or finding out your friends like a different type of music than you. Really not worth it. Seriously. Life is too short.

Each director has his own style and I think is really stupid when someone says something like that. Sex scenes, hardcore violence scenes in a PG-13 movie? Come on... Maybe Gillian has some envy because Nolan becomes so famous over time, I don't know.
Gilliam is jealous because he wasn't able to bring out Heath Ledger's talent the way Nolan did.

Yes, I agree with that.
