i started developing all my own film - here’s some black and white stuff
ilford hp5 pushed 2 stops to 1600 (really old film i just processed):
hp5 pushed 1 stop to 800 (last week):
im shooting 120 medium format for the first time in a few weeks using an old, fully mechanical toy camera from 1952 that i have to respool the film onto a different spool type. it should be fun though i’ll be sure to post the results if they turn out

that's fantastic
hey thanks
I have never shot on B&W film, I always feel like searching for contrast is not my thing? Your pictures look nice man, got some advice for shooting on B&W film?
honestly i’ve shot it like i shoot color film. my number one suggestion would be to rate the film faster than the box speed. hp5 is 400 but i’ve never shot it at that. i shoot 800 or 1600 and push process - that adds contrast and grain that you can get without having to “search” for contrasty shots. and, it lets you shoot in lower light situations
i don’t know about tri-x, but ilford b&w stocks have a box you can check on the canister to let the lab know what speed you shoot the film at - and when you fill out the order form there should be a section asking if you want push processing
dope! what's your development method? i've had similar dreamsMichaelf2225 wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 9:49 ami started developing all my own film - here’s some black and white stuff

These are great. Love pushing hp5. I picked up an RZ67 like a year and a half ago. No going back.Michaelf2225 wrote: ↑June 17th, 2020, 9:49 ami started developing all my own film - here’s some black and white stuff
