We'll see, but I think Heat had a better defensive base to work with after the teething problems had gone. With the Cavs I don't think they're as well equipped. James is the only elite defender in the team; Love and Varejao aren't athletic enough and Marion has lost his hops. The Heat had multiple good defenders, everyone was quick and able to get in the faces of opponents. Good defence leads to easy offense and when I look at the Cavs, their half court offense is stagnant. Heat were at their best when they played suffocating active defence which led to turnovers, steals et al which then allowed them to run the court and get an easy lay up or dish it out to a open man on the 3 point line. This is the type of style that Cavs need to adopt to get the best out of their team. But it all starts on the defensive end.RIFA wrote:Not worried about Cleveland. Brand new team with talented people willing to work and fix their problems. Heat had issues first year LeBron came as well. They didn't had a strong start at all... they got better by the end of the season.
Dude still has PTSD after this:Dream-Xtractor wrote: Varejao aren't athletic enough
