Who here is NOT in lockdown/quarantine?
Me. Still going to work every day as usual. Our Governor refuses to lock down the state even as cases grow exponentially. Grady Hospital in Atlanta is at 80-90% max capacity.
Does he crave another Italy, Spain, France? The response is everything right now. Solid looking week today is a nightmare in a week, or max two.

Stay safe!

Georgia and Alabama ordered a shelter in place as of today. They're still a week or two too late.

Anyone else ever get kind of insecure that they sometimes don't get super deep readings from films or books on the first or second go like other people?

I'm reading How to Read Literature Like a Professor right now and it's a really fun book and I'm learning a lot.

I was really good at analyzing texts and what not in middle and high school. I think I'm still good at it but I def need a refresher to get good again.

I'm reading a lot and watching a lot of movies during this time and I want a more enriching reading and watching experience.

I find that I can't be bothered with that, actually. Nowadays whenever I read a book (fiction or non-fiction), I just try to feel how good the author is as a wordsmith. If he/she is good, there's a big chance I will enjoy the book, whether I understand it or not. I understood almost none of Ulysses, yet it's one of my most enjoyable read.

That's a really good attitude to have!
