I just had this thought. After he left Nolan for Transcendence, he did Amazon's The Tick and then like nothing else. Meanwhile Hoyte van Hoytema is pioneering IMAX camera work with Nolan and shooting non-stop bangers.

It's kinda weird right?

I know Transcendence was not great, but surely it wasn't "career ending" bad. lol

I feel like he has enough credit in the industry to get back on his feet though, but who knows. There hasn't been a peep for 7 years.
