Now, my take on what caused that? The Americans knew what was going to happen, but either a) it was dismissed because planes being crashed against buildings? ROFLMAO (after all, American and British intelligence didn't believe and care about the Iranian uprising in 1979 lol) or b) They just let the whole shit happen in order to have a big pretext to invade Afganisthan, or something like that.
