It's been a rough bunch of years for the world but after the Russian organized crime family head that calls himself the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, declared he was pursuing a reboot or remake of the USSR in a new Russian Empire where he is the Tsar and reigns supreme over it all, most of the world thankfully responded in a collective 'Nope'. For decades Putin has bemoaned the loss of the Soviet Union.

The world has tolerated him and his actions outside of Russia for too long while buying Russian oil and gas that Putin keeps for himself and his cronies.

This invasion should hopefully end in the victory of Ukraine :!:

USA Today - Russian-Americans and Ukrainian-Americans united against Putin, war
Their relatives are at war 5,000 miles away.

In the United States, though, residents who identify with their Russian heritage and those who identify with their Ukrainian heritage express strikingly similar views about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a pair of exclusive USA TODAY/Suffolk University polls finds. The two groups are united in their opposition to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the war now raging on his orders.

The invasion is opposed by nearly everyone in both groups: 87% of Russian-Americans and 94% of Ukrainian-Americans. Those of Russian descent have a more positive view of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (72%) than they do of Putin (6%). By nine-to-one, they say Putin should be removed from office.

Brave and/or reckless, I'll let you be the judge.

Russia's literally running an ethnic cleansing program against the Ukrainians and their identity by forced removals, refugees, mass civilian deaths, rape and pillaging, destruction of historical landmarks and books and literature, and so on, so I don't blame them for really hating the Russians now. Russian leader Vladolf Putler gave his speech before the war that he considers them non-entities, so this is what the Russians carry out. And it's not like they've been treating Russian speakers in eastern Ukraine any better, they've born the brunt of their malice since that is where the Russians have spent a lot of effort on.

The Ukrainians know that is what they'll continue to live under for years if not decades in the future if they lose or reach certain types of deals with the Russians where the Russians stay in their borders.

Putin's goal wasn't just to replace the government in Kyiv, but to erase the Ukrainian identity from the Earth.
