The Washington Post - Historians privately warn Biden that America’s democracy is teetering
When Biden met with historians last week at the White House, they compared the threat facing America to the pre-Civil War era and to pro-fascist movements before World War II
NBC News - Biden to target 'MAGA Republicans' in prime-time speech about threats to democracy
President Joe Biden is expected to accuse Republicans of supporting an extreme ideology that threatens democracy during rare prime-time remarks Thursday as he steps up attacks on conservatives ahead of the midterm elections.

The 8 p.m. ET speech from the Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia will focus on the “battle for the soul of the nation,” the White House said — a phrase Biden has been using since 2017 to rally opposition to former President Donald Trump.

Domestic gas production is up since January 2021. It cratered during 2020.

Oil exports are down since January 2021.

Inflation and higher energy prices are global, following the bounceback in demand after COVID19, China's lockdowns which affected their exports, and following Russia's war in Ukraine and Russia cutting off energy supplies along with boycotts of Russian energy. Russia is the third biggest energy provider in the world.

American troops are no longer dying in Afghanistan this year like they were for the previous 20 years under Trump, Obama, and Bush. The U.S. troop presence there never should have went as long as it did. And everyone else knew for months to get out of Afghanistan in advance of the withdrawal (set by Trump and continued by Biden) and some refused to leave and waited until the last minute. In 2018 Trump pressured Pakistan to free the Taliban and their leader from prison in Pakistan to cut a deal and they took over Afghanistan bit by bit and he made a deal with them. But it was the time to leave, bigger threats from Russia and China should have the priority as we have seen.

Biden has not welcomed all undocumented migrants and has in fact told them to not to come.

However, Cubans - like anyone else - have a chance to apply for asylum but the system is backlogged.
Joe Biden's American rescue plan is the plausible cause for inflation. When Trump & Pence left office, we had no inflation. We were energy independent. Trump did not have to beg Iran for oil as Biden humiliatingly did, and in the first Democratic primary debate, Biden says when. He is President that illegal immigrants should immediately surge to the border. And the way he left Afghanistan left billions of dollars worth of equipment for the Taliban President Biden's decision to bypass his military advisers and order a complete withdrawal has left tens of thousands of Americans and friendly Afghans trapped by Taliban terrorist brigades, and we can also presume that terrorist will use our weapons against us if they haven't done so already but, jen psaki or karine jean-pierre will never admit that if they did United States Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said Cubans who come here would get sent back to Cuba that was wrong on his part on many levels we never turned his family away he got to live the American dream and he has to have an idea of what would happen if they crossed and got sent back to Cuba and it would not be pleasant some might get slaughtered Biden does not want them here because they would vote republican and they are running from something President Biden actions in Afghanistan are impeachable he knows what he did was wrong in the he said in August 2007 Biden precautioned that the billions of dollars of weapons left behind such as those left behind by the U.S. hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan last year year would end up being used against America the man cannot run up stairs and fell off a bike he was not riding you don't think terrorists see he's weak Biden is a war criminal he bombed the wrong target.

[Attorney General] Garland calls on Americans to overcome polarization in emotional Ellis Island speech
“We must not allow the fractures between us to fracture our democracy,” Garland said. “We are all in this together. We are all Americans.”

In the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, Garland choked back tears as he reflected on his own family’s immigration story, and the religious persecution that led some of his relatives to seek refuge on Ellis Island early in the 20th century.
He shared the story of his grandmother, one of five children born to a Jewish family in what is now Belarus, who fled religious persecution during World War II. Only three of them made it to the United States, however, including his grandmother. The other two, he said, “were killed in the Holocaust.”

“If not for America, there is little doubt that the same would have happened to my grandmother,” Garland said, his voice quivering. “But this country took her in. And under the protection of our laws, she was able to live without fear of persecution.

“That protection,” he continued, “is what distinguishes America from so many other countries.”

This message, and the welcoming scene at Ellis Island, stood in stark contrast to those seen this week on Martha’s Vineyard, and outside Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence in Washington, D.C., where migrants (many of them Venezuelan asylum-seekers) found themselves in the middle of a bitter political fight between the Biden administration and Republican governors of Southern border states, who blame what they see as lax immigration policies for the record number of migrants apprehended along the Mexican border this year.

A month ago Putin said he was going to 'freeze' Europe. So I speculate he likely destroyed Nordstream (while denying it) and then in concert with his OPEC+ cartel partners Saudia Arabia (also Trump partners not coincidentally) and others are jacking up the prices to create political turmoil in Europe and elsewhere to get more Putin-friendly governments elected like in Italy to break/shake the US/EU/NATO in the future. We know what's going on, this is their idea of sanctioning 'the west'.
