Coronavirus Pandemic

Schools, universities, kindergartens, cinemas (dammit!), theatres are all closed now in Poland until at least April.

Shit just got serious here with very few cases in comparison to other countries. People are panicking and started buying up everything in the shops to make supplies. It's crazy and definitely immature at this stage but hey, that's life.

I'm also treating it more serious now, I'll probably be having home office until April and the school I had a second part-time job will be closed. I'm sad for my colleagues over there because they're on a zero hour contract so they won't get paid at all for this period and this is their only job.

Me and my wife decided we won't be visiting our parents until April because they're the ones we're most afraid for at the moment.

Yeah, the same in Hungary... universities, theatres, cinemas and a huge number of events closed, cancelled. I think there are 10-20 cases that the government knows of, so I don't think anyone is really panicking here. But weird times, man.

Feels like we're in a movie. Hope everyone is doing alright, even just in general.

Serious question, how is the anti-vax community going to justify their views in the coming months?

Why are patients who recover from coronavirus testing positive again?

Now that's some serious bullshit. I'll tell you that.

I see posts online talking about how there will be a round 2 in the winter and it will be worse and man...i'm not ready for any of this.

This could apparently be Round 1 of a typical pandemic and is known as a "dress rehearsal" before Round 2 and Round 3. It's possible it could get stronger, more resilient, and mutate. That's what concerns me most.

A vaccine for what we're dealing with now will take a minimum of 18 months to produce, and by then we might be dealing with a whole new virus that's worse.

We should be okay to the end of June, but by that point, who.knows what we're dealing with? And I think all the numbers and stats they're presenting right now are highly inaccurate.

Just chill, the more people are getting it, the more resilient we're getting. Listen to reputable scientists only and live your life rationally, day by day. We'll have the vaccine too. If it becomes seasonal, goes to southern hemisphere and returns in winter, it becomes 'a normal' thing a la flu.

Needs a paywall to get through. Were they not really recovered or is it implying the virus is not fully recoverable?
