The way I see it... Nazis start rattling the cage again near the 20th, National Guard will take care of the business. This time for real that is. Trump's political power is diminishing.

Long term... Yeah, lots of work still ahead for America. Clearly the country is divided in two.

That's because she knows that the Democratic leadership has done little to nothing to support young people within the Democratic Party and that is mainly because those younger people tend to be to their political left and Pelosi sees no reason to give them any influence or power, which is also why AOC lost the secret ballot vote to get a seat on the House Energy and Commerce Committee (AOC is the reason why many people have even heard of the Green New Deal) which oversees climate change and healthcare policies. The Democratic Party has to acknowledge AOC, Ilhan Omar, etc. purely because their constituents voted them into office but Pelosi and many other corporate Democrats are not going to give an inch and if you think that just because they are in the same party that this will somehow automatically lead to more progressive policy changes without a political fight within the party you are in for a rude awakening.

She's obsolete but at least she's retiring in two years. That could be a window of opportunity for the progressives to perhaps finally make a move for speakership.

The bigger problem is how to get rid of Schumer as majority leader of the Senate, as well as well as pseudo Liberals such as Joe Manchin from Red leaning white states, who will block any pathway to meaningful changes.
