I like Sanders for now but I'm worried he will easily be beaten by Trump in November.

Sanders is running exclusively on his policies though. Everyone else, including Warren, is running based on their resume and Trump has an easier time attacking people's image rather than when they are running based on their proposed set of policies because marketing is the only thing the guy ever did. It is easier for Trump to show that someone does not have integrity or does not appear as they presented themselves and their resume rather than arguing on the level of policy proposals because he does not care to know about that kind of stuff.
Also, if I may offer my opinion, if Sanders enters the Democratic Convention with a plurality of pledged delegates and the most votes but the party uses superdelegates to give the nomination to someone else (which is something that 5 out of the 6 candidates on that debate stage indicated they would find acceptable as part of 'the process') then not only is it likely that the Democrats will lose to Trump but the party would be officially committing political suicide.
I think no matter who enters the race out of these candidates, Trump is going to win. Bernie has the best shot because there's nothing really Trump can use as a personal attack based on Bernie's inconsistencies because the man is nothing but consistent. The only thing he'll try to attack is his age and health but Bernie should have a quick comeback for that since they're basically the same age.
However, Trump will win by painting Bernie as a socialist or communist. These words still have a largely negative connotation for the VAST majority of Americans.
So get ready for four more years of Trumpocalypse.
on the other hand, if the Democratic nominee actually wins we're finally rid of him in office lol
but he'll obviously continue to bitch on twitter after that lol

I fear that Fox News — still the most-watched news network — will contribute a lot to that. Bernie runs very strongly on his policies, it will be very easy to attack him as a "crazy socialist".LelekPL wrote: ↑February 21st, 2020, 3:39 amI think no matter who enters the race out of these candidates, Trump is going to win.

Thing is, of the three decisive states that cost Clinton the presidency, two (Michigan and Wisconsin) actually voted for Sanders over her in the Primary.
And Clinton would have won those states against Trump, if she had the votes that went to Jill Stein instead. (She was also barely behind in Pennsylvania) A difference of 75k total votes between them in those three states is why we ended up with Trump.
So who knows? Maybe Sanders is the answer after all.
But they need to find a middle ground at the end of the primary. This is a time of compromise, not idealism. Left can't afford to lose blue votes to Trump.

I mean, the Republicans will call any of these Democratic candidates socialists, Marxists and communists no matter what they say or do so I don't really see Bernie being more vulnerable than anyone else. Plus, Bernie's policies are actually popular in the US so I actually think most people do not really care much about that label anymore seeing as the policies reflect the opinion of the majority of the country, especially given that capitalism managed to get humanity to the brink of self-destruction all on its own.LelekPL wrote: ↑February 21st, 2020, 3:39 amI think no matter who enters the race out of these candidates, Trump is going to win. That's why I said he has the best shot but ultimately it'll be easy for Trump to mark him as a communist in the eyes of American people and the society is once again becoming more and more right leaning so I kind of suspect what the result will be.
