So uh Armie Hammer for Batman anyone?
Affleck just apologized for this on Twitter. It was a decade ago and played off as a joke on a television show. Still not okay, but this is probably gonna get huge and disastrous headlines.
I'm glad that he apologized. At the same time, we don't know if there are other women he has done this to.

Except that people have known about this situation for 10 years. This isn't a huge revelation. I was just brought up by Burton again and Affleck realized he needed to apologize to save face.

It's not a huge revelation but it's not common knowledge either. Lots of people didn't know. The footage was buried away in the depths of the internet.

I'm glad he apologized though.

Add Cara Delevigne to the list of actresses sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein.

I hope they'll stand by that message of "not being afraid to speak" and stop speaking up only when somebody else actually spoke up before them. Now they're all "brave" but they've been quiet about it for sooooo many years while this guy did it to others. Sad.

Yeah because going alone against one of the biggest figures in Hollywood is just the kinda thing female actresses, an already disadvantaged group of people in this business, are gonna do without even blinking an eye, it is like totally not a big deal, given how powerful and rich he is, the number of threats those people have received and how big his legal team might be and how even other celebrities, who may or may not know or have heard or have been made aware of his actions, are still remaining silent.
In a perfect world, people wouldn't be afraid to report crimes immediately after they happen, but this isn't a perfect world, and I thought we all already discussed why women especially are unwilling to report and go into legal battles against regular people, especially celebrities, much bigger than them.

This is already victim shaming. The fact that he did it years ago doesn't erase the fact that he did it, plain and simple.

sexual assault is not the fault of the victims.
