Anti-money laundering specialists at Deutsche Bank recommended in 2016 and 2017 that multiple transactions involving legal entities controlled by Donald J. Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, be reported to a federal financial-crimes watchdog.
The transactions, some of which involved Mr. Trump’s now-defunct foundation, set off alerts in a computer system designed to detect illicit activity, according to five current and former bank employees. Compliance staff members who then reviewed the transactions prepared so-called suspicious activity reports that they believed should be sent to a unit of the Treasury Department that polices financial crimes.
But executives at Deutsche Bank, which has lent billions of dollars to the Trump and Kushner companies, rejected their employees’ advice. The reports were never filed with the government.
Lol then people who claim rape as their defense for abortion shouldn’t be allowed to use that as their defense either lmao.Artemis wrote: ↑May 18th, 2019, 12:32 pmThat doesn't matter because it's none of your business.PowerDump wrote: ↑May 17th, 2019, 9:51 pmYeah, the only way I actually am okay with abortion is in rape cases and that’s what makes it tricky. I do wonder how many (what percent) of all abortions are from rape versus ones from just being lazy when it comes to him/her doing what they need to do to prevent pregnancy.
If a pregnant lady is killed isn’t it considered a double homicide? Just tricky all around but everyone can have their opinions.
It's considered a double homicide because that fetus was actually wanted.
Idk what you want and idk why you're taking it out on me and idk why you care so much about what other people do. Do you actively foster children? Do you volunteer to help children out? Are you part of any big brother or big sister programs? Or does you concern for life only apply to the womb?PowerDump wrote: ↑May 20th, 2019, 4:06 amLol then people who claim rape as their defense for abortion shouldn’t be allowed to use that as their defense either lmao.Artemis wrote: ↑May 18th, 2019, 12:32 pmThat doesn't matter because it's none of your business.PowerDump wrote: ↑May 17th, 2019, 9:51 pmYeah, the only way I actually am okay with abortion is in rape cases and that’s what makes it tricky. If rape accounts for less than 30% of all abortions then people need to quit jumping to that being their main defense for abortions being okay.
Attacking people for wanting to preserve what they view as when life starts has to be the most ass-backwards thinking ever.
I'm a man and I am totally not against abortion, in fact, any sort of ban on it seems dystopian and terrifying. These days I see a lot of - otherwise clever - observations saying that men shouldn't be discussing abortion rights because they don't concern them. And I don't think that this sort of argument holds up as the people who want to ban abortions want to ban them for entirely different reasons - and it's the fact that they see fetuses as persons, mostly out of religious reasons. So on one hand, of course abortions are none of men's business in a sense, but I don't think that's the point for most people who are against it. If the people who ban abortions see human eggs and zygotes and fetuses as people, then it's really not merely your and your body's problem in their eyes, if you see what I mean. I'm just trying to point out why I think this sort of counter-argument could be futile. Not that any sort of scientific argument can change most of these lawmakers' mind, so you got me there.
None of those questions have anything to do with whether or not someone can have an opinion on this, that’s a fact. I’m 100% okay with you or anyone else having whatever opinion on what someone can do with their body; quote it or do whatever you have to do to remember I just said that with what I’m about to say.Artemis wrote: ↑May 20th, 2019, 8:24 amIdk what you want and idk why you're taking it out on me and idk why you care so much about what other people do. And nowhere in my post did i attack you if that is what you're insinuating. It's just simply none of your business why someone gets a procedure done.
