Somebody had to have directed all this fraud...and it should be a crime and prosecuted.
This is not a normal thing that happens with any presidential election so the odds that a half dozen or more groups in entirely separate states decided to commit the same fraud in isolation is unlikely.
And yeah there were people who did try to steal / self-coup (President Biden has now called it an attempted coup) the 2020 election.
* [Trump Chief of Staff] Mark Meadows was endorsing the idea of alternate [fake] electors [for Trump after losing]: Newsweek
* Osiecki, who leads the group, told the Arizona Republic in Dec. 2020 that a meeting with [Trump personal lawayer] Rudy Giuliani helped convince her to send the forgery: Rolling Stone
* 18 U.S. Code § 595 makes it a federal crime if any federal, state or local government employee uses “official authority for the purpose of interfering with, or affecting, the nomination or the election of any candidate for the office of President.”: Rep. Ted Lieu
One leg of their plan was for Vice President Pence to toss the real electoral college out and substitute it with the fake Trump one. It was a multi-pronged effort and with backup plans that had backup plans. The whole overturn-the-election thing was in and of itself a backup plan itself after Trump failed to win the electoral college and all the states were called by media in early November. The violence we saw on January 6th, 2021, is a result of Pence not following through on stealing the election for Trump. Had Pence followed through there wouldn't have been the need for violence: the backup to their Pence plan.
