This clown hasn't proposed a single idea for dealing with this corruption in his nearly 1.5 years of campaigning, the time when candidates make promises that they don't intend on keeping. Shillary at least mentioned the possibility of getting rid of Citizens United, no matter how insincere she certainly was it at least drew attention to the issue. Now that he has what he wants do you think he's going to start caring?

What's worse is that this likely outcome is a strong argument for keeping our "democracy" as limited as possible. People who think that the candidate who says "wages are too high" is for the working man are stupid and everyone would be better off if those people didn't vote. I'm tempted to say that the Christians who think that Trump is a genuine Christian shouldn't be allowed to breed.

A blow for progressives for sure.

But he'll let his "base" down too. I mean, he successfully labeled Clinton as corrupt, but he himself has enabled corruption.

@RIFA

young people certainly should have voted, but it's hardly their fault, they did not fuck it up

Clinton was a horrible candidate. Both she and the media made the mistake of putting the focus on Trump. So it gave Trump supporters something to vote for, but only gave Clinton supporters something to vote against.

Trump wasn't taken seriously, yet pretty much everything he said or did was reported. With Clinton and her bullshit in the mix, accountability seemed to reached new lows this year.

Also this election was about people wanting to tear down the establishment. There were a few ways to do that, one was a proactive and pro-political one through Bernie, the other was a completely visceral and nihilistic one through Trump.

Absolutely. I think everyone, both his supporters and haters are going to be pretty surprised in a few years when most gay rights are still pretty secure and held up and most Mexicans and other minority groups are still here. He isn't going to change all this progress and I'm not even convinced he will really try. Like M4 said, he may very well be a good little puppet like the rest of them
