NPR - Biden Dissolves Controversial Trump Orders On Race And Culture
President Biden has revoked a number of executive actions taken by former President Donald Trump in the last year of his administration, mostly in response to the protests over systemic racism and police violence.

The orders include Trump's move to establish a National Garden of American Heroes, an order related to conservative complaints about social media censorship and orders he signed to protect monuments and statues when protesters were targeting Confederate symbols last year. Those demonstrations intersected with the summer protests against the murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police.

The president also revoked a 2019 Trump proclamation that purported to prevent immigrants "who will financially burden the United States healthcare system" from entering the United States.

In announcing the suspension, Biden said the Trump health care order "does not advance the interests of the United States."

"My Administration is committed to expanding access to quality, affordable health care. We can achieve that objective, however, without barring the entry of noncitizens who seek to immigrate lawfully to this country but who lack significant financial means or have not purchased health insurance coverage from a restrictive list of qualifying plans."

To Biden and his friends Palestinians don't seem to even exist as actual human beings or why don't they actually mention them?

Looks like Biden will not be fighting for a public option, lowering the Medicare eligibility age, prescription drugs reform, student debt forgiveness and increasing the estate tax. All of these are excluded from the White House budget lol. No surprise there, given how right-wing corporate Dems like Biden are at this point.

The Washington Post - U.S. economy adds 559,000 jobs in May, as the recovery shows signs of strength
The U.S. economy added 559,000 jobs in May, the latest sign of a strengthening recovery as vaccinations rise and covid restrictions ease nationwide.

The unemployment rate dropped slightly from 6.1 percent to 5.8 percent, according to the monthly report, from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The gains were driven strongly by jobs added at restaurants, bars and other food-service establishments, which added 186,000 workers in the month.
Wages continued to rise, a reflection of what many employers say is a surprisingly tight jobs market, increasing an average of 15 cents per hour to $30.33, following an increase of 21 cents in April. In the food service sector, those gains have been particularly pronounced.
The Sydney Morning Herald - G7 countries agree cross-border deal to tax multinationals
London: G7 nations reached a landmark deal on Saturday to close cross-border tax loopholes used by some of the world’s biggest companies.

The Group of Seven said it would back a minimum global corporation tax rate of at least 15 per cent and put in place measures to ensure taxes were paid in the countries where businesses operated.

If at the same time Biden deals with some globally useful issues, it will be good. I am not a supporter of any senseless "social programs" when the population is given a drop more to divert attention from what has already been robbed behind the back in full.
