What a silly thing to say. Stop trying to rag on the first season.
Heh, incase you weren't being funny (and for the S2 doubters), i adore the first season. But Breaking Bad, Sopranos and The Wire have proved to so many people that you don't need the occult in order to deliver a brilliant crime drama with superb character development

Purists like to strangle the creativity out of an artist. It's like a dumb fan who constantly asks a band to release the same record over and over, instead of just throwing on that old favorite and enjoying it.

How is he ragging on the first season by saying season 2 doesn't "need it". He's simply stating a fact.

Whole cast looks great but Vaughn and McAdams in particular, like we've never seen them before.Image

His message makes it seem like he's downplaying that aspect when that was one of the things that made the first season interesting, if only on a aesthetic level.

No, that's just you being a paranoid Season 1 fanatic.

Not downplaying anything. The first season was amazing but this is a separate thing. It doesn't need the occult to be a fantastic season and that's a fact. Why? It's a different story in a different setting. If Rust and Marty were off doing a new investigation then i would say, "where's the occult?" but that's not the case. I dont want my favorite band to remake their first album over and over. I want them to explore.
