That wasn't the point in my argument with Allstar. The point was Jesse Eisenberg was good in TSN but not because of his acting skills. He was good just because the role fitted him perfectly. Hence why I made the Clooney in Up In the Air comparison.

Another point was that the difference between Jesse as Zuckerberg and Ashton as Jobs is that Ashton really needs to transform because of the HUGE differences in contrast between him and Steve Jobs. Jesse and Mark have a lot more in common than Ashton and Steve.

I think Tom Cruise would've been a better choice.

Transformation is always needed, but what it should be can only fantasized by the actor when reading the script... That's the primary factor. His subconscious perception of Jobs should only be sprinkled on top of what the script suggests to him.

I think this could be a turning point in this career. If he pulls it off he could be getting larger roles in the future. If it crashes and burns...back to the small screen
