You weren't before?
When Bale dropped out no, Renner is no longer enough to get me excited about a film.

I can't wait to see how the chemistry work between all these A-list heavy weights. Should be a lot of fun. I think Bale will steal the show.

What about David O. Russell and the fact that the script is apparently phenomenal. Not to mention Cooper and Adams as well.

Will be interesting to see if Cooper can hang with top dogs like Bale.
My prediction is yes, but Bale will be the best in this.
@Iwatch. I am not a massive Russell fan I really liked the Fighter even though the fight scenes were awful. It still was a great film, because of the family issues, and most of all Bale. SLP also looks really good so maybe after that, I could say I am a big fan. The same goes for Cooper, not sold yet but should be after SLP, and Place beyond the pines.

I can't for the life of me remember which one in the script Renner's character is. Is it a new character written by Russell? Or is it one of the smaller roles that was just expanded? I can't remember any of the politicians in the script.

I'm very excited to see Bale and Adams again. They had fantastic chemistry in The Fighter but I'm more excited now since they're playing lovers. Bale and Cooper should have good chemistry too since they'll have a lot of scenes together.

I'm assuming it's a lead role since it says he is in the center of the story.

Ah I finally found out what Renner's character is: Angelo Errichetti.

How big is Renner's part in the script?

I need to read the script again because I can't really remember much (I just did a search for "mayor" and that was the name that came up). Based on the number of pages his name appeared on, it's smaller than Mel (conman) and Boyle (FBI) but it looks like a decent sized role. Most of his scenes are with Bale and a few with Cooper. The two leads are definitely Bale and Cooper. Amy's role is pretty small but it won't surprise me if Russell beefed it up like what he did with her character in The Fighter.
