Argo was extremely straightforward and had almost no depth.

I'd love to see someone explain how this movie had depth. It would be as entertaining as a Joss Whedon film.

What is your definition of recent? how many years?

That scene is very emotional, and beautifully done, but not sure if it is the saddest. I would even say the ending of The Wrestler got me more teary eyed.

Like from when the film released until now. Yeah the Wrestler can be argued but in my opinion, the Fountain is close.

The fountain's music was so great, and having it present as the backdrop in that particular scene made me teary eyed for sure. So good.
