Oh man, this is pure brilliance.
It clearly inspired Nolan's Following. Both brilliant films, both feature beyond-engaging performances.
The actor playing the father was fantastic. Has he been in anything else?
I think the dude's name is Serge Houde. And I agree that he was fantastic. He should get more roles. The only thing's he has done besides 50/50 is the kickass web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy(albeit in only one episode) and The Kennedy's with Tom Wilkinson.

In my opinion, the structure of the story was muddled, the story itself was weak, and most of the film was just Meryl Streep walking around her house going "Dennis!".

I agree that Rooney should have gotten the oscar, but anyway.. I lived through most of the 70'a and 80's and I thought the film about Thatcher was brilliant. Meryl's performance like Rooney's carried the film. Everyone should know by now that Oscars are far more favorable for biopics than originality..
