I think, because of its revolutionary status in cinema, some of the moments I'd usually call out as being "cheap" or "cheesy" are completely excusable. I just love this so much, and the sequels get more hate than they should...

Masterpiece. Ground breaking especially at that time but still today. I did not care much for the sequels though.
