max was more stoic. i was thinking more of locke in that he proved he could carry a film as well as really convey an internal brooding, both of which were required for this.
frig even in tdkr a big chunk of his performance was just eyes.
Edit: now that i think about did leo even ever look stressed? he was in a pretty stressful situation IMO
