The Edward James Olmos cameo should have been cut. Did not do anything other than having another original character. Otherwise, it was totally another beast

You all know I love TFA, but one major difference is that TFA's actual plot very much repeats/remixes previous Star Wars movies. Blade Runner 2049s plot and story completely does its own thing. In that way, references are as much a bit of connective tissue between films as fan-service but still mostly in the background.

Although there are a couple "Trash Compactor" like beats I could live without.

Villeneuve did it better than Abrams imo. Also yeah, I could've done without those sounds as well.

Guess the next step is into space? Or perhaps it'll always be completely Earth-bound

Well its been a long time coming but I’m really pleased for Deakins on his success last night.
BR2049 was a beautifully executed film and most of that goes to Deakins immense ability in his craft.



Still yet to pruchase BR2049 on Blu-Ray :X
