It's too early to write off Blade Runner 2049.

Even with no campaigning, it can compete in categories like Best Visual Effects, where Dunkirk maybe, possibly could get a token/fifth-place nomination if the competition is weak (the chances of which just decreased from 1/5 to 1/4).

I agree with those saying perhaps this will be more divisive than early reactions indicate. It does seem super slow and super long in a way that you feel Ryan Gosling's length er I mean the length of the film.
