Relativity Media recently bumped up the release date for Tarsem Singh’s fairy tale pic to March 16, 2012. Singh has already demonstrated a knack for creating gorgeously surreal (sometimes macabre) visuals and his previous directorial efforts (The Cell, The Fall) were neither financial or critical hits – though both are memorable films (we’ll see how his 300-inspired adventure flick Immortals turns out this fall). So this project will be interesting, to say the least.

The roles of those “seven resourceful rebels” have been filled with a collection of familiar faces from a wide range of Hollywood productions. Their ranks include: Ronald Lee Clark (Epic Movie), Joey Gnoffo (The Benchwarmers), Martin Klebba (the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy), Mark Povinelli (Water for Elephants), Jordan Prentice (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle), Sebastian Saraceno (Bedtime Stories), and Danny Woodburn (Watchmen). In Relativity’s Snow White, starring Oscar®-winner Julia Roberts and breakout star Lilly Collins (The Blind Side), an evil Queen (Roberts) steals control of a kingdom, and an exiled princess (Collins) enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright in a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over. The film also stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the object of their affection, Prince Andrew Alcott, and Nathan Lane (The Birdcage) as the hapless and bungling servant to the Queen.
