Yeah. The joke, of course, is that you'd assume Kubrick, being the anal nutso he was, literally hand painted every frame to look like a painting. But he didn't. He was just that amazing at capturing images.

I really wanted to love it, like I do with most of Kubricks work, but I couldn't really. Not on my first watch at least but I have little desire to rewatch it.

I don't know why, but I really fucking love tracking shots of cars, and 2014 has been a pretty good year for them.

Whenever I see one, it just instantly elevates a film for me. It almost makes the car in question a character in the story, even if it's for that moment.
